A 23k gold head ornament, MATHA PATTI, of which the PHALAS or strands are worn on either side of the head. The head ornament is KUNDAN set with natural rubies, emeralds and diamonds.

The suspended MACHCHLI, pendants in the form of two fishes abutting around a floral motif, hang near the ears. The front is decorated with SABZ ZAMIN enamel and the reverse shows a flower and bird motif in SAFED CHALWAN enamel.

The MATHA PATTI is most often worn by the Indian bride on her wedding day, but can be worn as a part of temple jewellery or during special festivities. This type of elaborate jewellery, is often associated with royalty, members of the royal court or noble families.
